Sit. Stay. Cook.

Cook to live. Live to cook.

I’m culinarily adventurous – I love to try new restaurants and products. It seems there are more and more of both popping up all the time.

When it comes to dining out, I have high standards. I don’t feel like I get value for my money unless the meal is something I can’t make at home. Many types of ethnic food fall into this category, primarily because of the sheer number of ingredients required to make many dishes – have you ever counted the ingredients in Pad Thai? Mole? Bun? Simple, but numerous. Some American restaurants fall into this camp as well, especially higher-end cuisine using more cutting-edge techniques. But I’m a sucker for perfectly roasted root vegetables, too.

With products, more and more of them are entering the market each day aimed at those of us with a health-conscious eye, so it’s easy to get overwhelmed with choices. Not to mention, it seems like the more something is touted as healthy, the more it costs to purchase.

When I get the opportunity to try a new restaurant or product, I’ll share my thoughts with you, and hopefully you can take something away from my reviews that helps making the right decisions a little bit easier.
